Welcome to the U. S. Marine Corps Food Service Association website

Post by nusaiba meghla »

This letter is to welcome our many new members and to urge all Active Duty, Reserve, Retired and Former Marine Corps Food Service Personnel to apply for membership in the Association and continue the adventure as brothers and sisters in arms.

Whether you are Active Duty, Retired, Reserve or Former U. S. Marine Corps Officer, Warrant Officer, Staff Non-Commissioned Officer, Non-Commissioned Officer, other Enlisted Grade or Civilian Food Service Management Employee, who serves or has served in the U. S. Marine Corps Food Service Occupational Field, or the Spouse, Widow or Widower of the aforementioned members, you are entitled to membership in the Association.

Incorporated on January 18, 2001, in the state of Delaware telegram number list as a "not-for-profit Corporation," we plan to develop a range of programs and services for our members and their families which will be the envy of all others.

The Board hopes to see "Retirement Transition Assistance and Counseling" and a "Scholarship Foundation for Food Service Dependent Students" as two areas of early program development. The Board is currently seeking volunteer members for Committees to study both areas and make recommendations to the Board of Directors in the months ahead. More details are available in our COMMITTEES page.

With the reality of the Association comes, for the first time in our 225-year history, an organization capable of polarizing Marine Corps Food Service Professionals from every establishment, in a manner not previously thought possible. We recognize no barriers and exclude none from our ranks that have proven themselves worthy of association membership by having served successfully as a Marine Corps Food Service Professional.

As a growing Association, we will soon number in the hundreds and ultimately in the thousands of members. Our bylaws charge us with the responsibility to hold Members' Meetings no less than every other year. However, we are receiving requests from members to consider holding annual meetings and reunions that alternate from East to West Coast and between major commands on each coast. All things are possible in an active Association such as ours as the members determine outcome of all issues and questions by majority vote. Perhaps one or more of our members will make such a motion at our first Association Members' Meeting. If requests for annual meetings are received from a sufficient number of members, perhaps our President will call a special meeting to review and reconsider the issue. If anyone has an opinion on this or any other issue, email the Secretary.

Shouldn't you be a member of this dynamic Association of Marines? Don't you think that a period of 225 years is long enough to wait for representation of the most loyal, dedicated and hard working men and women who have earned the title of "Marine"?

Join today and become part of the only organization of its kind on the planet. Let's not only continue the brotherhood of Marines, but together, we can take it to a higher level.

Come take part in shaping your Association's future, by enhancing its goals and objectives.

Now is the time! We need you and your support in order to make the Association work for all of us.

Look over our by-laws and other web pages. Email your questions to the Secretary and I will respond as quickly as possible.
