Microsoft has shared some of the new features coming to Microsoft 365 in 2018 , with new experiences and features for collaborating on content. Last week we talked about the improvements and new capabilities of Microsoft Teams , which position the Office 365 tool as the main one in business collaboration ( see post here ). Today we highlight in this new news on our blog, the new ways of working with mixed reality and artificial intelligence in SharePoint .

Spaces in Sharepoint become immersive thanks to mixed reality and AI
Mixed reality is one of the latest technological trends in today's workplaces , with great potential to change the way we work. Two powerful applications that make use of mixed reality, Microsoft Remote Assist and Microsoft Layout, were announced at Microsoft Build and will be incorporated into the new immersive spaces in SharePoint ; allowing you to interact with content from any angle, as well as view and manipulate data and product models in real time.

These mixed reality experiences are capable of immersing people, focusing their attention, involving all their senses and expanding curiosity and imagination, thus giving rise to new scenarios of communication, learning and collaboration such as the following:

1. Hiring and onboarding: A new recruiting experience, offering new employees the chance to learn more about the company with an engaging 360º virtual welcome .

2. Learning: Through mixed reality, learning comes to life, being able to attract much more attention, obtaining a broader perspective of the subject and specific objectives, thanks to dynamic and personalized content .

3. Product development: Create inspiring spaces to foster team innovation , surrounding yourself with experts to analyze data, content and processes from any angle.

SharePoint spaces empower creativity to create immersive experiences in the simplest way possible thanks to smart templates, which allow you to create attractive and immersive mixed reality environments, with sounds, textures and light . Once the space is created, you can add content, including files and documents already stored in SharePoint, adapting those data, documents and images to the mixed reality environment.

As part of Office 365, SharePoint spaces also feature Microsoft Artificial Intelligence to obtain more value from all stored content such as files, images and other data.

Sharepoint offers AI for content collaboration
1. Personalized, intelligent search in the SharePoint mobile app, with the new 'Find' section that offers better accessibility to content, applications or resources at any time. AI analyzes contacts, files and Office 365 data to identify what is most important and thus can offer recommendations, and can even find what is most important before performing a search.

2. Better imaging capabilities with the new Scan button in the OneDrive mobile app that allows you to capture photos, documents, whiteboard notes, and business cards and automatically upload them to Office 365. Once stored, AI can determine where the photo was taken, recognize objects, and more.
